About Boyd Lake State Park

Directions

  • From I-25 take exit 257B (Hwy 34 West) to Madison Avenue.
  • Take a right on Madison and follow the State Park signs.
  • In the park, go to "Loop A". This is the first right and the first left, IIRC. We have the last 6 sites at the end of Loop A.

Activities

  • Swimming, boating and fishing are readily available.
  • The Loveland recreation trail terminates at Boyd Lake. It is 15 miles long, and is quite beautiful at the west end as it follows the Thompson River. Bring your bike or skates!

Campsites

  • Campsites include paved access roads with parking for 2 cars, AC outlets, and a fireplace. Coin-operated showers are available so bring quarters.
  • The bathrooms and showers are large, clean and well lit.
  • 6 people will stay at each 30'x60'site.
  • Quiet time begins at 10pm

Parking/ car permits

  • A $6/day park pass is required on each vehicle that enters the park, biking or walking in is free.
  • We can carpool from the IT-Works parking lot at 1714 E Topaz Dr, Loveland, CO.
